Early 2019, the Festival Aangeschoten Wild-organisation – which I was part of until 2018 and for which I have worked before – contacted me with the request to make photo’s of the new merchandise. The festival sells shirts and bags online to generate some extra revenue.
Rather than simply accepting, I pitched a slightly more elaborate idea: to do a photo shoot showing the merchandise ‘in the wild’, in order to create a clear connection between the clothing and relevant locations and themes. The organisation accepted, and we got to work. After spending half a day in windy Delft and Rotterdam, the photographs below were the result.
